WebMar 13, 2024 · A prominent clunking sound that sounds somewhat like what a failed U-joint sounds like on an old domestic RWD car. Sounds like it's coming from the front left. Occurs going over bumps, or even somewhat uneven road surfaces. Slow or highway speeds. I'm pretty familiar with my car's front end. I can see the tie rod moving the boot back and forth as it makes the sound. Driver's side is fine and seems tight.
