Webb16 sep. 2014 · Ofloxacin (OFL) was selected as a target antibiotic, and the interaction between OFL and sequential extracted dissolved organic matter (DOM) from the sediment of Dianchi, a hypertrophic lake in Southwest China, was explored using fluorescence quenching technology. WebbOfloxacin is metabolized in liver at the piperazinyl moiety following oral doses. Unlike other fluoroquinolones, ofloxacin structure contains an oxazine ring linking the nitrogen at position 1 and carbon at position 8 of the quinolone nucleus. This fused ring results in low metabolism of the drug in vivo.
