Web31 jan. 2009 · Looking for some tips from anyone familiar with modifying kydex. I have a kydex holster for my 1911 with a TLR-1. Just dropped in an extended/threaded barrel and the extra barrel is resulting in the gun not seating properly in the holster. I need to modify that area to accept the extra length; basically I need to remove a little more material. This will give you a little less or more overall length, as needed. From there, you can adjust the straps with the strap adjuster until you have it set. Then replace the keepers.
